I’m a novelist and screenwriter with a deep interest in the moments of history that shape us and the people whose stories too often go untold.

STORYTELLER
I craft character-driven stories that blend historical authenticity with emotional truth and cinematic suspense. Whether on the page or screen, my goal is the same: to entertain, to move, and to leave a lasting impression.

DRIVEN BY RESEARCH
Every story I tell is built on extensive research and a commitment to accuracy. I collaborate with subject matter experts, study primary sources, and immerse myself in the worlds my characters live in.

HONORING THE OVERLOOKED
I’m especially drawn to the heroes and events history has pushed to the margins—the quiet sacrifices, the unseen courage, and the legacies that deserve to be remembered.

Portrait of John Eric Taylor, novelist and screenwriter.

John Eric Taylor’s fascination with history and storytelling began early. His father served during World War II, and John grew up exploring the photographs, letters, military orders, and memories preserved in his father’s meticulously kept wartime scrapbook. Those stories gave history a human face and left him with an enduring curiosity about the lives behind the events we remember.

That curiosity now shapes his work as a novelist and screenwriter. He is particularly drawn to stories of courage, service, and people whose contributions have been overlooked by history. His research often takes him beyond books and archives to the people who have lived the worlds he writes about—from military aviators and special operations veterans to historians and those dedicated to preserving America’s aviation heritage.

His current project, STEEL ANGELS: WINGS OF VALOR, grew from his discovery of the Women Airforce Service Pilots of World War II and a simple question: How had he spent a lifetime interested in WWII history without ever hearing their story? The answer became part of his purpose as a storyteller—to entertain first, but also to bring remarkable people and forgotten chapters of history back into the light.
